The world around us is a living history. Part document, part fiction, the photo essays of Cherrie Caswell Dost and Hagan Dost strive to extract meaning and human stories from the ordinary, overlooked, urban spaces that exist between the "used to be" and the "is."
Hagen is a self tought photographer with a B.S. in Engineering. Cherie has an MFA in Fine Art History from the University of California at Berkeley and a B.A. from Northwestern University. Their work was recently featured in Other Voices Magazine. Tara Jill Ciccarone investigates photographs that serve as visual nnarratives and photographs that act as visual metaphors for themes and images in texts. She recieved her MFA degree in Creative Writing from the University of New Orleans and has been working as a freelance photographer for the last few years. Her stories have been published in literary journals such as The Alaska Quarterly and The Missippi Review, and she was recently nominated for a Pushcart Prize. She is also teaching a photography and text workshop at the Guild Complex.
