The Working Women's History Project, WWHP, presents an original historical-drama by actor and playwright, Alma Washington. "Addie Wyatt: Life Can Be Better" is based on research and an oral history interview with the Reverend Addie L. Wyatt conducted by WWHP.

Reverend Addie Wyatt is the Co-Pastor Emeritus of the Vernon Park Church of God in Chicago, Illinois with her husband the Rev. Dr, Claude S. Wyatt, Jr. Reverend Wyatt began her carrer in 1944 as a member of the United Packinghouse Workers of America at Armour and Co. As she became active in organized labor, she became a strong proponent of women's rights in the work place. She and her husband worked closely with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. from 1958 to 1968 and participated in major marches in Selma, Alabama, Washington D.C., and Chicago. In 1966, she became one of the founding members of NOW, the National Organization for women. She is currently the CEO of the Wyatt Family Community Center.
