The Third Wednesday Open Mic asks the featured readers to experiment with new work or to rework pieces in a new way that gives the audience and writer a fresh perspective. The series takes literary arts and performance to a bold level. The open mic is open to writers of all diciplines.

Knitting and writing share the part of the brain that controls fine fingering skills. Both arts also ignite the cerebral center where language skills develop. This open mic features students from the spring 2002 Fuild Complex workshop "Poetry of Knitting" Students will read poems and exhibit knitted pieces. All are welcome.
