Jay Amberg will read from his new novel Blackbirds Singing (St. Martin's Press).

He is also the author of the novel Deep Gold. Jay is board president of Young Chicago Authors, a co-founder of the Glencoe Study Center, and a teacher at Glenbrook south. He has been published in American Scholar and other publications.

These free Tuesday nights are especially, but not exclusively for youth teens and teachers. We encourage teachers to bring groups of students to listen and to share their work at the open mic.
