5/25/11 7pm - Wojiech Lorenc presents his thesis film "YouTupolis" a satirization and sci-fi web series about YouTube.  And in keeping with the tradition of Chopin Salon, the evening includes an F. Chopin recital by  Anthony Zediker a student of Piano Performance at DePaul University.  A complimentary reception follows.

Wojciech Lorenc has worked in the television industry as a producer, director, shooter, and editor.  He has screened his work in over 80 festivals in 15 countries and he won awards both in the US and internationally. Wojciech teaches in the Television Department in Columbia College Chicago. He will also teach for the YouTube Creator Institute this summer. Ironically, Wojciech didn’t make a video.

Valentina Lorenc has been on YouTube since 2006.  Her art diary has been seen by over 20 million people and it is thanks to YouTube that Val can now be a full-time artist and work on creative projects like YouTupolis.  She will tell you more in the video below.
