Marvin Tate's d-Settlement Band & Guests
Guild Complex

In it's seventh year of existence, Marvin Tate's d-Settlement still refuses to be defined by the hackneyed definitions that are normally given to music played by black bands by white and black journalists alike, Tate's d-Settlement engulfs all musical styles from opera to funk to dub and turns it into something raw and ironic. Tonight d-Settlement will be joined by the Ornette Colman influence funk band Jauqo III XUNIT with vocalists, Valerie Gordon.
