An odyssey of War, Exile and Redemption is a heart-wrenching story of one Polish family deported by the Soviets from Poland to Siberia at the beginning of WWII.

Adamczyk's upper middle class family was taken at gunpoint and sent on a harrowing three thousand mile journey to the barren wastes of Kazahstan.. The family survived through the sheer will and constant ingenuity of the authors mother who guided the family in an escape from the SSR to British occupied Iran and, exhausted from her efforts, died.
