Based on autobiographical Nora Ephron's novel about adultery and eating based on the lives of Ms. Ephron and Carl Berstein (the noted Washington Post journalist that covered the Watergate scandal).

Rachel and Mark, both journalists, meet at their friend's wedding. They fall in love, and get married too. They buy a home, have a daughter,etc. Seven months pregnant Rachel writes a cookbook to help her come to grips the fact that her husband, Mark, is in love with another woman.
