Simone Muench is the poetry editor for ACM (Another Chicago Magazine). Her work has appeared in Green Mountains Review, Rattle,Crab Orchard Review, etc. She was raised in Benson, Louisiana and the Ozark Mountains in Combs, Arkansas before moving to Colorado to receive her B.A. and M.A. from the University of Colorado. Simone has won two Illinois Arts Council Fellowships. She resides in Chicago where she waits tables at the United Center for Bulls and Blackhawk games and at Wrigley Field for the Cubs, even though she remains sports-illiterate. The Air Lost in Breathing is her first book.

Jackie White has a Masters degree in Creative Writing from the University of Illinois at Chicago, where she is currently pursuing a Ph.D. Her Chapbooks have been finalists with Owl Creek and Still Waters Presses, and she has published most recently in Slant, The journal of Kentucky Studies, and RHINO, where she now serves as an associate editor. New poems are forthcoming in Oyez Review and Karamu.
