Waiting for Beckett
Fire Rose Pictures

Waiting for Beckett is the story of a bride and groom struggling to get to their wedding. The film is inspired by Samuel Beckett's classic play, Waiting for Godot. The groom is in a panic because he's late. He drives in a mad rush to get to the church. Meanwhile, the bride's car has apparently broken down and she is running on the freeway in her bridal gown. The film moves from scene to scene with small gaps in the narrative, like a dream whose pieces don't all make sense.

But the bride ends up in a car with two jewel thieves, whom she believes will take her to the church. The groom has no luck; he can't find the bride, his car dies, he can't catch a cab and his cell phone dies. The jewel thieves have other plans for the bride. They need a proxy and she must cooperate or else. The groom loses hope as he waits for a train that doesn't come. The film takes an unexpected turn and viewers must decide what really happened and who was waiting for whom.
