Tue Oct 18th 6p - WORD: Across Generations provides opportunity to witness the power of poetry as Kevin Coval, Haki Madhubuti and Aaron Samuels come together for an evening of performance and conversation.  Evening begins with Open Mic presented by Young Chicago Authors.  


And, in keeping with the tradition of Chopin Salons, the evening also includes short concert by Emily Lau, of Hong Kong,  featuring the works of F. Chopin.  Reception follows.

Pianist Emily Lau, born in Hong Kong, relocated to the States where she received a Masters in Performing Arts from Roosevelt University and a Bachelor of Musical Arts with honours from University of Michigan (www.emilylaupianostudio.com)
