ASE highlights its youth members through literary performances featuring Chelsea Atakora, Elijah Atakora, Jerome Culler, Rome Culler, Onam Lansana, Angela Lathan, Jacob Miller, Abdul Muhammad, and Sajdah Muhammad.  Also performing The Purpose of Life Poets and D. Kucha Brownlee. 

ASE (Chicago Association of Black Storytellers) promotes the art of storytelling in order to heighten the awareness of contributions of storytellers to the art. Through the power of our words and through efforts to educate, entertain, and inspire, members are devoted to assisting in keeping alive the African-rooted cultures of the world.
