New Jersey born W. Nikola-Lisa has lived in southern Texas and Florida.

Tonight this successful author of eight children?s books will read from his most recently published book Tangletalk (Dutton, 1997) and discusses his craft. Younger children are encouraged to attend. He is a professor at the National-Louis University, Evanston, IL. His books include Wheels Go Round (Doubleday, 1994), No Babies Asleep (Atheneneum, 1994), and One hole in the Road (Henry Holt, 1996).
